We are seeking an experienced Construction Technician for fence, gate, and access control installations. The ideal candidate must have direct hands-on experience in the gate and fence industry and be fluent in both English and Spanish.
This position is for experienced technicians only. General construction labor experience without gate and fence industry experience will not qualify.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the gate and fence industry
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written preferred)
- Experience installing and repairing
- Chain link fencing
- Wood, vinyl, and ornamental iron fencing
- Sliding and swing gates
- Automatic gate operators
- Access control systems, keypads, and intercoms
- Ability to read measurements, layouts, and job site plans
- Experience using construction tools and equipment safely
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Low-voltage electrical experience
- Experience with LiftMaster, DoorKing, Viking, FAAC, or similar gate operators
- OSHA certification
Responsibilities
- Install fences, gates, and automated entry systems
- Troubleshoot and repair gate operators and access control equipment
- Perform post setting, concrete work, layout, and hardware installation
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members in English and Spanish
- Maintain job site safety and cleanliness
- Follow project timelines and installation standards
